I was very impressed and appreciative of the service I was given at Masters. My car went in and needed a lot of work to be fixed and they not only completed it to a high standard and a good price but also within not even a week of it being there meaning I was back on the road by the weekend. I was met by a welcoming team in the office to collect my car and they couldn’t be more helpful at answering my queries and questions. I have since recommended them to several friends and family.. thankyou so much once again!

We broke on the M5 approx 5 miles away from the hotel in Bristol we had booked to stay in. We were heading down to Devon to a music festival then into a holiday home. Our RAC person, towed our car to the garage after dropping us off at our hotel. He said he would email all the information about the fault he had found on our car to the owner of the garage. Spoke to the garage the next morning and although they couldn't fix it that day, they did get us on the road by approx 2pm the next day. We were kept in the loop throughout regarding parts, costs etc before anything was done. Really happy with the outcome! Would certainly recommend the garage.

My son’s Jaguar XF broke down nearby and the mobile RAC mechanic was unable to fix it, so it was delivered it to Masters. They diagnosed the fault (a wiring problem) and fixed it promptly and informed me as soon as it was ready.

I had an electrical problem with my car and had to call out for RAC help. When got recovered, I wanted to be taken to a garage of my choice which specialises in Renault cars but Paul - the driver suggested an RAC recommended garage - Masters which was closer. I thought to give it a try as I’ve always trusted RAC and followed Paul’s car to see them. At the reception, my details and my car keys were taken and I was informed that they give me a call next day. At this point I hesitated and considered taking my car elsewhere but I was assured by Paul that this is the best garage and no one is going to do it quicker even if they say they do. The next day I received a call from Lorraine at Masters in Bristol informing me that they carried out diagnostic scan on my vehicle, multiple codes stored in the ECU, new instrument panel & key reader would be required initially but unfortunately instrument panel is no longer available. I was also informed that my only option is to scrap my car. I explained that’s the first time I am in this situation and if she could explain how to go about it. She offered to organise it for me. When I asked, if I’m gonna receive any money for scrapping my car I was told that I won’t. As it all sounded very strange to me I decided to do a bit of research myself before making decision. I’ve found out that all it takes to scrap a car is to make a phone call and I could get £250-450 for it. I’m sure the garage would receive something for my car but why they’ve chose not to share any of it with the car’s owner, I don’t know. If they advertise themselves as an honest garage, they should be more open about options available to a customer and not trying to make profit on ones loss for themselves. I also decided to have a consultation with an electrical engineer at Renault garage who said that it sounds to him like water ingress problem and said that the first things they should be looking at was the drainage, fudge box etc. He also said that he doesn’t understand why the garage said that an instrument panel is no longer available as it definitely is and he double checked it for me on the system. He recommended taking it to a different garage. I called around and managed to find an amazing mechanic who really listened to my problem. He looked at the list of codes Masters garage gave me and noticed straight away that it’s strange that the codes are repeating themselves in random order. He’s found that the drain pipe was blocked and water in a tray was overflowing onto the fuse box causing electrical problems. 2 hours later my car was fixed and thoroughly cleaned. It costed me only £107 and my car is running perfectly fine and I did over 200 miles since with everything working. I’m trying to understand how Masters garage came to the conclusion that the parts I mentioned above needed changing. Did they even test them independently? From what I can see they’re working absolutely fine. Why did they tell me that they couldn’t get a part, which according to an authorised Renault garage, was still available? Why did they offer to scrap my car for free? In addition they’ve charged me for it £30. The situation wasted a lot of my time and put me under a lot of stress. I was forced to take 2 days off at work to deal with a problem which could be resolved in 2 hours. I was devastated when I was told that my beloved car which has done only 20k needs to be scraped. All that stress could be avoided, if my car ended in the right hands in the first place. Master - Honesty, Value, Care - those words should really be removed from their name. I am very surprised that RAC who I always trusted supports this kind of service.

Asked RAC to recommend a garage and they towed me to Masters garage in Bristol. Absolutely Useless garage couldn’t fix car and said couldn’t get parts yet my local garage in bath got the parts no prob and fixed car why you recommended this garage I don’t know? Had to get the car retowed to a garage who can actually fix cars, costing me a further £65. The whole thing makes my subscription to the RAC a total waste of time.,please refund the £65 it cost me to get the car recovered regards ian

Excellent service by all members of staff. Picked my car up from my work place and left me a courtesy car for the rest of the day. Had an MOT and had to have a part ordered so let me keep the courtesy car over night. Really reasonable prices with good quality parts. Really know their stuff!
